Lake Nockamixon Afternoon Fall Foliage Paddle

Join us for a leisurely 2-3 hour paddle around the Southern part of Lake Nockamixon, hopefully to see some beautiful fall foliage. We will put in at the Three Mile Run Boat launch, explore Three Mile Run, Tohickon Creek and the old quarry, continue up the Eastern shore as time allows and then back to the launch site. We can expect to see Herons and other water birds and maybe Bald Eagles. You will need to bring your own boat for this trip. DCNR Launch Permits are required and can be obtained at the State Park Office or Marina or online at https://www.pa.gov/services/fishandboat/buy-launch-permit. You must wear your PFD (No inflatable PFD's) while on the water. Wear old sneakers, water socks or some other form of closed toe foot protection. Flip-flops are not acceptable. Bring plenty of water. Suggestions (for your comfort): Wear quick drying clothes suitable for getting wet. Bring sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring a dry bag or waterproof container for your personal belongings. Have a secure place to carry your car keys. Bring a hat and sunglasses. Have a set of dry clothes in your car so you can change for the ride home.
