Stony Brook Millstone Watershed to Hopewell(ish) Out-and-back Hike
Details
We'll hike from the Watershed Center to the northernmost point on the Watershed Reserve, through meadow, pond, stream, deciduous and coniferous forest, and old conifers blowdown by Super Storm Sandy. The northern section of the trail climbs 150 feet up the glacial debris Mount Rose Ridge [lunch opportunity!], then descends into the Bedens Brook Watershed near Hopewell Borough. Then we go back. Bring: lunch, water, sturdy shoes. Muddy if recent rain! but it should be quite balmy. Please RSVP so we know to expect you. About 6 miles, 300' elevation gain, moderate pace.
