Backpack Workshop for Beginners and Novice

Thinking about exploring the backcountry and taking your day hiking to the next level? This one-day primer will be a perfect segue for getting the most out of your outdoor experience. The workshop will span approximately 5-6 hours with several breaks between topics. Topics will include: Leave No Trace (LNT), Trip Planning, The 10 Essentials, Gear Selection and Demo, Backpack Fitting/Sizing, Menu Planning/Nutrition, Campsite Selection, Trail Safety, and much more. Registration is required. Workshop will be held at French Creek State Park (Elverson, PA). Additional details will be given to registered participants. Limit of 20 people for the workshop.
