Philly Pride Hike - 6 or 8 miles
Details
Join us as we explore the historical past of the LGBQT change movement in Philadelphia. Included are historical markers, memorable change agents, rainbow street signs, murals, important buildings and a flat city walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, bring plenty of water and a snack. All are welcome!
We are offering two starting locations for the hike. The longer route (8 miles) will start and finish at Lloyd Hall along Boathouse Row in Philly at 8:30am. There is free parking on Sedgley Drive which intersects Kelly Drive at Lloyd Hall. The shorter route (6 miles) will start and finish at City Hall (public transportation friendly) and will meet in front of Rothman Cabin at 9:15. The group starting at Lloyd Hall will walk to City Hall to meet up with those starting from that location. There are restrooms available at the start of the hike and at several locations along the route. Steady rain cancels - please check status by 7am the day of the hike or contact leaders.
