AMCDV Peer Sessions: Mindful Wilderness for AMC Members

Details

The Appalachian Mountain Club's mission is to ensure that everyone has access to the outdoors. Our country is undergoing some rapid changes, many of them frightening, and we at the Delaware Valley Chapter want to support our members as best we can. Join me, your Delaware Valley Membership Chair, with licensed mental health clinicians to bring a unique activity series that focuses on mental health and supporting it with the outdoors- just for AMC members (of any chapter). There will be no cost.

It will feature three online sessions in the series that are known as peer sessions, where our members have a safe space to share their experiences and what they are going through under the guidance of clinicians. They will also receive resources related to coping, resilience, and self-care strategies related to the outdoors.

Why join peer sessions? Because we are a community. The strength of community is to lend support in challenging times.

We’re so excited to have you join us for these enriching sessions—no cost to members! To learn more about one of your licensed facilitators, Jill Carlton, LCMHC, NCC, please watch this linked video.

Dates: April 22nd, April 29th, and May 6th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm EST via Webex.

Note: You must register here on the AMC Delaware Valley event web site and have a current membership in the Appalachian Mountain Club in order to receive the link.

For any questions, please reach out to membership@amcdv.org.
