Join us for this fun and informative social and talk: Mushrooms: what they are, how they live, why they're fascinating. We’ll learn these basics of fungal life from Jonathan Kranz, a Massachusetts Audubon Certified Field Naturalist and Vice President of North America’s oldest mushroom organization, the Boston Mycological Club. Jonathan will also share his insights on foraging for food and avoiding toxics, and a special emphasis on common mushrooms you’re likely to find in our neck of New England.
Bring a dish to share - appetizer, entree, dessert, beverage, mushroom dish??. Doors open at 6:30, dinner at 7:00, speaker shortly after.
Location: Northboro Historical Society, 52 Main St. (Rt.20) - parking lot on School Street.
