Appayon (আপ্যায়ন) is a Bangla word that means more than hospitality — it’s the act of inviting, caring, and creating joy through food. It’s the feeling of being welcomed like family, no matter where you come from.
Founded by Farzana, a Bangladeshi living in Europe for nearly a decade, Appayon began as a way to bring people together through tea, home-cooked meals, and shared nostalgia.
Our gatherings — from intimate afternoon teas to cozy supper clubs — are built around the warmth of Bangladeshi hospitality and the joy of belonging. Every event is an invitation to slow down, connect with new faces, and celebrate culture through food.
Appayon Berlin is not a business — it’s a community-led, non-profit initiative that thrives on curiosity, generosity, and community spirit. Whether you’re from South Asia or simply love the culture, you’re always welcome at our table!

For this edition of the apartment café, we’re creating a soft “Secret Garden” experience - a slow afternoon built around seasonal food, shared stories, and thoughtful company.
This gathering is designed as a community table. Instead of a fully hosted menu, we’ll build the table together:
✨ You’ll be part of either a sweet or savoury group
✨ Each guest brings a small dish to share (homemade or thoughtfully sourced)
✨ Together, we create a balanced, abundant tableAs your host, I’ll take care of the full setup, drinks, fruit platters, and overall curation - so the experience still feels warm, intentional, and beautifully put together.

💸 Contribution
€15 per person
This covers hosting, space, setup, drinks, and cleanup.

Once you join, I’ll assign you to either:
- Sweet table (cakes, pastries, desserts)
- Savoury table (light bites, tarts, sandwiches, etc.)
Please bring a dish portioned for sharing (approx. 6–8 tasting portions).
After RSVP, you can message me with what you’d like to bring so we keep the table balanced.
