[Kindred] Book Club Meeting

In honor of Black History Month, we’ve selected “Kindred” by Octavia Butler as our February book!

Kindred, a 1979 novel by Octavia E. Butler, is a time-traveling thriller that blends historical fiction, fantasy, and slave memoir. The story follows Dana, a Black woman living in 1976 California who inexplicably travels back in time to a Maryland plantation in 1815. There, she's tasked with protecting Rufus, a white slaveholder and her ancestor, until he fathers her great-grandmother.
