Welcome to the 2nd London Applied Deep Learning Meetup and we're very grateful to Calipsa for sponsoring the event!

We start with Chris Tegho talking to us about using feature maps from convolutional neural networks for motion detection. Then Ashwin D'Cruz will talk to us about how to design evaluation pipelines, and some of the pitfalls to watch out for.

Both Chris and Ash are graduate from the University of Cambridge with masters degrees in Machine Learning, Speech and Language Technology. They are now working at Calipsa, a seed-stage startup, funded by Entrepreneur First and LocalGlobe, working to automate traffic and security surveillance.
