Okay, you have your tech, how do you design the case to put it in? We'll have speakers focused on the physical design of IoT products. What are the steps to manufacturing? What do you need to know about design to make a product stand out?

Speakers:

Eric Nyaribo is a Minnesota Licensed Professional Engineer working as Design Engineer for a local Automotive & Aerospace Tier Supplier. He is also the founder of Janus Razors, a start-up in the men’s grooming space born out of the 2016 IoTFuse Hackathon.

Scarcity of money and time is a trait common in most startups. Eric will share his approaches to prototyping and development of the physical in IoT devices, tactics to hack your way around scarce resources, and what you need for impactful engagements with your manufacturing partners from the onset.

Troy Pongratz is the Cofounder and product design team leader at Lab 651. He has been involved in product design for more than 20 years in industries such as medical, consumer, and industrial products. His work has yielded multiple patents. An experienced consultant with both large and small companies, Troy brings a team approach to designing products and integrating new products in multiple disciplines. Troy and his team consider it their personal responsibility to support a product design from beginning to end to ensure its success in the marketplace.

In Troy's talk entitled, "Prototyping For The Now: Choosing the Best Technology and Approach" he will share what technologies are available, getting the answers you need, and how to get the most bang for your buck.
