Diabetes is an age-old problem that effects millions of people globally, but technology is making huge leaps and bounds in tackling diabetes through prevention as well as recovery. At this session, we will do a deep dive into the use of AI tools to predict diabetes risk from routine physical and biochemical datasets, covering factors of interest, relevant indicators, publicly available datasets, AI models, and more. We will also look at biological age assessment, as it relates to wellness and longevity.

SPEAKER:
Dr. Selva Maran is an AI scientist, Computational and Nonlinear Mathematical modelling expert, realistic quantitative modelling expert, and a medical doctor. He develops tools and techniques to build holistic pathophysiological computational models and Artificial Intelligence using large datasets like MIMIC, NHANES, etc to identify novel biomarkers and help track how systems evolve over time, thereby providing better and precise feedback signals.
Dr. Maran has a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Louisiana State University and is a postdoctoral fellow from Emory University.
