Trying AI tools is easy. Making them actually useful inside a company is where things get complicated. This Crew Talk focuses on the stage where AI stops being an experiment and moves into real-world use: with real data, real users, and real business limits.

Join us on Tuesday, February 24, for an evening focused on how AI works in practice, not just in theory. Five speakers from data science, engineering, education, and business roles will share their experience with building AI systems, training people to use them, and turning AI into something that truly works in real organizations.

👉 Register here 👈 if you want to attend in person. Spaces are limited and our event planner Anetka would be sad if we had to turn you away at the door!

Who’s speaking?
David Omrai, full-stack developer at DX Heroes, will open with insights on why generic AI workshops often fail and how tailored training helps teams actually use AI in their daily work. Jakub Marian, senior data science & AI architect at Colours of Data, will follow by explaining the limits of AI agents and what it takes to build systems that work reliably in real companies.

The panel discussion will bring together three perspectives on making AI work beyond prototypes. Barbora Malinovská, client success manager at Applifting, will share the client view on building AI that’s clear and usable within organizations. Tomáš Herman, AI engineering lead at Applifting, will add an engineering perspective on reliable agentic systems for real-world use. The panel will be rounded out by Tomáš Mátl, CEO of Colours of Data, who will connect AI initiatives with business impact and value.

We look forward to meeting you!

  • Our co-founder Filip will give you a short welcome and introduce our speakers.

18:15 – Tailored AI workshops: Why "one size fits all" fails with David Omrai

  • Why do many AI trainings fail to change how people actually work? David shows how workshops built around real tools and workflows help teams integrate AI into daily practice, while setting realistic expectations about limits like context size and hallucinations.

18:30 – From simple automation to enterprise platforms: Building a virtual data scientist with Jakub Marian

  • What does it take to build an AI agent that truly works with enterprise data? Jakub shares lessons from developing a “Virtual Data Scientist” and explores why many agent setups that look good in demos break in real corporate environments.

18:50 – 10-minute break

19:00 – Panel discussion with Barbora Malinovská, Tomáš Herman, and Tomáš Mátl

  • A discussion on what happens after the prototype: aligning AI with real users, keeping systems reliable outside demos, managing risks, and connecting AI efforts to real business outcomes.

20:00Q&A session

  • Your turn. We’re open to any questions or comments you have.

20:30 – Networking, food & drinks 🍻
