"Databricks cost optimization requires a multi-layered strategy that focuses on three pillars: efficient Compute, optimized Storage, and strict Governance. Efficiency is driven by leveraging technologies like Photon and Serverless SQL, while storage is optimized using Delta Lake features such as Z-ordering and aggressive vacuuming. Strict governance, enforced through cluster policies and auto-termination, ensures these technical gains translate into consistent budget predictability without sacrificing performance."
