Engineering & AI Meetup: Beyond the Hype: Building with AI
Details
🚀 The next Bucharest applydata Meetup is coming around! This time, it's all about engineers leading AI teams instead of writing every line themselves, and building the control systems that make those teams trustworthy.
Alex Vutei: "The AI Software Factory - What Happens When One Engineer Gets 5 AI Agents?"
Alex Vutei is a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Diconium, with 11+ years of experience in software engineering, focused on Java, Cloud, microservices and distributed systems. He has a a strong interest in AI, automation and developer productivity and together we will have a practical look at how AI agents can collaborate across the software development lifecycle — from architecture and coding to testing, security and code review — and how the role of the engineer changes when AI becomes a team of specialized agents.
IonuÈ› Petculescu: "Control, Context, and Guardrails: The Enterprise AI Harness"
IonuÈ› Petculescu is a Principal Software Architect at Matrix42 with over a decade in software engineering, spanning hands-on software development to leading cloud, AI/LLM, and machine learning platform initiatives. Currently driving the architecture strategy across core cloud, data platforms and mentoring other architects, he will guide us on how the power of AI Models alone is not enough and what other components we need to wrap around it.
Alex Bordei: "Engineering with AI Agents: Methodologies, Controls and Workflows End-to-End"
Alex Bordei is an AI & Technology Advisor with experience in building and operating software products and AI-based systems. His work focuses on integrating AI agents into real-world software development processes, automating business flows, and responsibly adopting AI-assisted engineering practices in organizations. His talk will include specific examples of complete workflows, lessons learned from using them in real projects, and recommendations for teams looking to move from isolated experiments to a controllable and scalable AI-assisted development process.
