Silicon Valley Apprenticeships Addressing CHIPS Talent Needs

Details
Two nagging questions loom over the Biden Administration's $53 billion investment to bolster the nation's capacity for producing semiconductor chips.
Where are we going to find workers? How will we train them?
Two Silicon Valley colleges - Foothill and Mission - are working with employers and community partners to answer these questions. Foothill recently graduated its first class of process technology apprentices. Mission expects its first class of hardware technology apprentices to graduate this year. (Hardware tech skills are valued in both semiconductor and other advanced manufacturing industries.)
Please join Mission dean, Jeff Pallin, and Foothill dean, Chris Allen, on Wednesday January 22 (4:30 pm to 5:30 PST) for a peek into the intricacies and opportunities associated with these innovative programs. We have also invited an employer representative.
Plan to bring your questions, experiences and a couple of colleagues to this significant presentation.
Thanks and Happy New Year!
