What we’re about
Do you like to study math for fun?
Do you like learning alongside other passionate people?
This group provides encouragement and a home-base to people who simply love mathematical endeavors. In addition to studying texts that build up our foundation of understanding, we also give an opportunity at each meeting for folks to show art, demo code, and otherwise share the joy of math.
In past incarnations, this group's members have worked through books like Hofstader's "Godel, Escher, Bach" and Pinter's "A Book of Abstract Algebra" together.
The next title we'll be taking on is Bishop and Goldberg's "Tensor Analysis on Manifolds," which is an excellent foundation for applications in deep learning and general relativity.
