Title: AWS Hacks You Should Know & How Past Discoveries Make New Ones Simple
Abstract:
AWS has been hacked in all kinds of clever ways over the years. Some attacks are still relevant, others have become curiosities, but all of them are worth knowing. This talk is part showcase of the coolest AWS hacks you may have missed, and part lesson in how the research cycle works.
Some of the techniques we will look at stand alone as fascinating exploits or insights into the platform. Others show how one researcher’s work becomes the foundation for the next, making follow on discoveries easier, faster, and sometimes almost trivial to pull off.
The takeaway is that keeping up with AWS research is not just a way to stay informed. It is the fastest path to doing your own. What looks like genius from the outside is often just careful reading, smart connections, and a bit of creativity layered on top of what came before.
