This workshop is designed for the absolute beginning programmer or enthusiast who wants to learn how to program and build apps for the iPhone/iPad/iOS environment. The workshop will focus on beginning Objective-C programming as well has how to navigate Xcode and build simple apps. This is a NATIVE iOS app building workshop.

Participants should bring their mac computer (Sorry this can only be done on Mac computers). Please install Xcode from the Apple store (it's free) before-hand so you can work on apps during the workshops. Some experience in C programming is recommended but not required.

This is a tutorial driven workshop where students will build some apps “step-by-step.” Topics discussed will be Objective-C programming, data models, views and controllers, integration of audio, video, images, graphics, files, eBooks, and general app components. Event driven behavior will be explored.

There is a $10 charge to control the head-count. Your contribution will go towards pizza, waters and soda at the event. We need to control the head count to guarantee that everyone gets a seat and a power connection. Thank you for your support!

Note: This is a repeat of the beginner workshop held a few months back. A more advance workshop will be scheduled in Aug that will be designed as a continuation of this workshop with more intermediate level learning outcomes.
