We let our network decide what topics to cover. In our 11th MeetUp we'll take a look at: AR/VR in Medicine + Therapy

It's the already second time we're looking at how Extended Reality is transforming the health care business. With the current global pandemic everybody is looking to innovate in the field to make the work of the health professionals safer and more efficient.

As usual, we'll invite experts working with these technologies to talk about their work and we try provide as many hands-on experiences as possible for our participants.

• ARORA
Is a ETHZ spin off created the ARORA application with the ambition to pave the way for Augmented Reality into the medical field and especially operating rooms. They focus on two different application areas: Training for surgeons and bringing important data into the operation theater: https://arora.ethz.ch

• Pediatric Rehab Research Group
Extended reality as a therapy tool in pediatric neurorehabilitation. A major goal in pediatric neurorehabilitation is to enable the children - despite their impairments - to live a life as independently possible.
Extended reality is a tool to train meaningful everyday life activities within the safe therapy setting. The question will be discussed whether this technology is an adequate therapy tool for a diverse patient group:

COVID-19 information: The large Galaxy Hall in the INNOSpace provides enough space for socializing at a distance. Nevertheless, we have to limit the maximum number of participants.
