About us
Welcome to the Semitic Ceremonial Magic Meetup.
Across the Arabic, Jewish, and Aramaic worlds, generations of mystics, philosophers, healers, and scholars developed profound traditions of ceremonial magic, sacred names, talismans, astrology, angelology, spirit work, and contemplative practice. Although these traditions grew within different cultures and religions, they also shared ideas, influenced one another, and often spoke a common symbolic language.
This meetup is an invitation to explore that world.
We'll read ancient texts, examine symbols and rituals, discuss historical traditions, and try to understand not only what these practices were, but why they existed and what they were trying to accomplish.
This isn't a place for sensationalism or fantasy. It's a space for thoughtful exploration, respectful discussion, and genuine curiosity. Whether you approach these traditions as history, philosophy, spirituality, or personal practice is entirely your own choice.
The direction of this group will evolve naturally with the people who join it. Some gatherings may focus on forgotten manuscripts. Others may explore practical ritual, meditation, cosmology, language, or the connections between different Semitic esoteric traditions.
There are questions that books can answer.
And there are questions that only begin to reveal themselves when curious people gather around the same table.
