Aries Season is the astrological kick-off of the Wheel of the Year--rolling in with verve and optimism, the spark of life that gets the whole thing turning.

Traditional astrological correspondences align Aries with the strategic action of the Tarot's Emperor and the magnetic intensity of Mars (with his corresponding Tower). These correspondences were imagined by folks who lived in a more northerly climate, and for whom March signaled only the very beginning of the growing season.

Our March Tarot Circle will be centering the energy of the SUN card.

Why?

Because Aries follows directly on the heels of the Solar Equinox--the moment when the sun's energy is perfectly balanced in both hemispheres on this planet. In Texas, this is also the sweet spot of our growing season--flowers are making a wild show on our hillsides and gardens are hives of activity.

By the time the Sun reaches its astrological zenith in Leo (July/August) we Texans (animal and vegetable) will be tucking into a state of heat-induced dormancy--and the playful vibrancy of the SUN and its Tarot archetype can be harder to access.

Now is the time for us to bask in the energetic embrace of the SUN and its magical realm. With this card comes a reminder of the joys of experiencing conscious life inside of a sensual body--like flowers swaying on the roadsides, we can take this card as an invitation to shine. To experience life as a big ol Yessssss.

Come to the circle to reflect on the SUN's magic and how it is ready to show up for you in Aries season and beyond!

  • We will share collective reflections on the imagery in the card, draw personal cards to receive insight from our decks, and share our readings in a spirit of mutual support and affirmation.

  • We will aim to have our discussion and circle wrapped up by about 8:30, leaving time afterward for less structured conversation and perusing the shop at the Healing Temple if you like.

  • Please bring a deck (I will have some to borrow if you don't have your own) and something to write with/on.

  • We typically sit on the floor in the meditation room at the Healing Center, so if you need anything to make that more comfortable for you please bring that as well. We do have mats, blankets, and also folding chairs if floor-sitting is not a good option for you.

Can't wait to make some magic with you!
