Remote Event: Mapping Our Way in Architecture
We’re excited to invite you all to the Women in Architecture Australia (WIA) gathering – an initiative focused on driving progress toward equal representation and greater impact for women in architectural roles.
Our vision is bold yet grounded: to build a more balanced and inclusive profession where women can thrive, contribute meaningfully, and lead confidently. What’s Happening?
Mapping Our Path: Architecture Career Journeys
An interactive remote workshop to unpack, reflect, and connect
Duration: 60 minutes
Format: Online participatory session - with sharing and collaborative reflection
In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to map your own professional journey - the moments that shaped you, the challenges you’ve faced, the “I wish I had…” insights, and the support that made a difference. We’ll use a visual storytelling approach called journey mapping to surface shared patterns and pivotal moments across different career stages.
Together, we’ll explore:
- Key emotional highs and lows in your career journey
- Turning points, detours, and leaps of faith
- Systemic blockers, surprising opportunities, and the power of mentorship
- What’s helped you thrive – and what still needs to change
