The Piri-Piri Chicken Experience - Portaló

Being a Portonian entails many things and goes far beyond knowing the ins and outs of the streets of Porto, no matter how much we love it. As we say in our presentation it's all about our passion for the city, discovering what makes Porto and the residents tick and what ticks them off, the little quirks and whims, knowing the things the people are ardent about and what we love about it and, as someone once cleverly said, "there is no love sincerer than the love of food".

The hot spicy chicken with a tradition hailing back to when Mozambique was part of Portugal and introduced by those who returned to the country in the wake of the Revolution has become something of an institution, a picnic snack, comfort food, fingerfood even, and this is what we want to bring to you!
It is also an opportunity to chat, get to know the community and exchange perspectives on the city in a relaxed atmosphere, so we'd like to invite you to join us at our favourite Piri-Piri Chicken be it Angolan or Mozambican sauce (both equally hot) or a lemony one, at one of our favourite restaurant, this time around "Portaló"

As this needs a bit more logistics and organization RSVP-ing alone is not enough, we ask you to send us a message because we cannot accommodate any impromptu arrivals, after it is meant to be a cozy event, up to 6 people. So, to resort to a term used in the restaurant busy, first come, first served- :)

Nevertheless, I do have an ask, you see, this is a 6 people event, sadly, too often we've been left in the lurch, we had to telling people we're fully booked and then those who supposedly were tp come never showed up, it has always felt a little gutting, so we do need to ask for a €10 security, which will be returned to you on the day. :)

Price: It's free! Well, it's not, it's a little bit pricier than that, what I mean is that participation has no cost, but of course, each person will pay for what s/he consumes, but we're speaking about €18/person, and if we have basically the same thing we can share the bill. (no hidden costs, no commissions, the bill will be there for everybody to peruse over!).
