Intro To Aquaponics - The Holistic Design Approach
Aquaponics is a combination of Aquaculture and Hydroponics. It can produce organic food with up to 98% less water and up to ten times as much food in the same area. It uses about a quarter the amount of energy, doesn’t require fertile soils, and is incredibly sustainable.
In this introduction you will learn about some of the most cutting edge and pioneering aquaponics systems in the world and gain a solid foundation from which to begin your own Aquaponics system, farm and/or thriving green business. The course includes a detailed exploration into Aquaponics, its design, functions, adaptability, uses, variations and improvements. Presented jointly by Solar Living Institute and Nor Cal Aquaponics (http://www.norcalaquaponics.com/).
The instructor is Max Meyers, Aquaponics Specialist, Registered Aquaculturist, and Permaculture Designer.
