What we’re about

The Ardbrae Dancers of Ottawa is a volunteer run organization with a shared passion for Scottish Country Dancing. It was established in 1964 (61 years ago) as an affiliate of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Our group runs weekly classes taught by acredited teachers from September to May, bimonthly socials, and an anuual ball.

Scottish Country Dancing is lively social dance originating from Scotland where couples dance in sets, moving through flowing patterns, to the music of reels, jigs, and strathspeys. It combines graceful steps with energetic formations, emphasizing teamwork, rhythm, and the joy of dancing with others.

Scottish Country dance is for those who enjoy fitness, friendship and fun. NO PARTNER is required!
