If you have been curious about Arduino but aren't quite sure where to start, this session is designed for you. We are getting together in Portland to walk through the fundamentals of the platform, from connecting your first sensor to writing basic code. You do not need any prior electronics or programming experience to join us; the goal is simply to get comfortable with the hardware and see how everything connects in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Please bring a laptop if you have one, and if you already own an Arduino starter kit, feel free to bring it along. If you do not have a kit yet, do not worry—we will have a few setups available to share so you can follow along with the exercises. This is a great chance to ask questions, troubleshoot any blocks you have run into, and meet others in the area who are just starting their journey into physical computing.

We have limited space for this workshop, so if you think you can make it, please let us know by clicking the RSVP button. It helps us plan for enough equipment and seating for everyone.
