Do you wake up every morning feeling the same way or do you feel like you are wearing a brand new pair of shoes and driving a brand new car? Does that feeling last all day, every day?

What if we tell you that your body is a universe of trillions of cells and every day some of them deteriorate and die? Your skin and muscle cells live for about two to three weeks, while colon cells only live around four days. In contrast, your brain and nerve cells last for your entire lifetime. The beautiful part of it is, in the natural span of life, your body is constantly rebuilding and adapting. New cells are created every day too. We can then propagate, rejuvenate and optimise those cells.

To unlock the depth of these effects on cell life, we will need to know what we are made of and what we are, before what can we do the yoga flow from one pose to another. This is why nutrition and biology are very important to yoga

Join us in the first of a series of three retreats to explore how to care for your cells through good nutrition and yoga practice. A day retreat of learning the uniqueness of your body, and how to increase and look after healthy young cells.

Ace Pittapan, a Yoga Alliance’s Associate Level 2 Yoga Teacher, provides an abstract path to connect your body to the soul through the movements and breathing of yoga practice. With the idea that yoga is not just an exercise, though it may require some physical demands. Good yoga practitioners learn how capable their physical body is.

Trevor George PhD is a Registered Nutritionist and Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics. He provides facts about our bodies, and how foods can be used to promote wellbeing in this small universe of our body.

Schedule:

• 10:00 Welcome drink and greet

• A vigorous yoga practice, to wake up our inner universe

• What foods do to our body and what is the best for the uniqueness of your individual body

• Luncheon prepared by Trevor George

• Q&A while we digest lunch. We can spend this moment to realise that there is no secret to having a healthy body, only lack of knowledge or awareness

• A restorative yoga flow that allows enough time for you to connect to the meditation and serenity state

• 16:00 The retreat ends, but we expect the knowledge blended during the day will help you to continue your holistic journey.
