Monthly Meetup - The Good, the Bad, and the Unconstitutional

Details
Did you watch and listen in horror as Arkansas legislators spent as much time as possible working against far too many Arkansans this spring? This month, ACLU of Arkansas Policy Director Sarah Everett will join us to share the good, the bad, and the unconstitutional of this spring's Arkansas Legislative Session. She'll help remind us of the power of our votes and what we need to accomplish before Spring 2025 to keep this from continuing.
Sarah Everett is the policy director at the ACLU of Arkansas. She received her Juris Doctorate at the University of Minnesota Law School and came to the ACLU of Arkansas in 2017. Sarah has focused on legal and advocacy work on a number of issues, including criminal legal reform, LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, and First Amendment rights. She works with the ACLU of Arkansas’s policy strategist, Kevin Azanza, and with advocates and elected officials across the political spectrum to empower marginalized communities and protect the rights and liberties of all Arkansans.
This Meetup will be held on the Unitarian Universalist Church Campus in Little Rock and live on our YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/@ArkansasFreethinkers
But come in person, if you can! Masks and the humans wearing them are welcome!
