This month's guest speaker joins us from the League of Women Voters to educate us on voting rights for the upcoming election.

As a voter in the United States (US), you have rights. Over the past 250 years as a country, the US has gone through many changes to who can vote and how. Voting is one of the most important ways we can shape our future and reinforce our democratic principles. But sometimes the process can feel intimidating. One way to feel more confident when you go to the polls is to know your Election Day rights.

The League of Women Voters was founded in 1920, six months before women's right to vote was secured through the 19th Amendment. Since then, the League and others have fought to expand and secure voting rights.

Join us for a discussion about the current rights voters are guaranteed by law, how to respond if there are election issues or to report any illegal behaviors, and how to handle various situations at the polls this year. By being informed, we help ensure the safety and security of our elections.

Socialize with other freethinkers, grab a snack, and enjoy a presentation on an interesting topic. Also learn what the Arkansas Society of Freethinkers is doing.
