Hike part of AZT 37 (Tusayan to Grandview Tower and back) Intermediate Level

Details
Overview: Part of the Gorgeous Coconino Plateau, starting at Tusayan and camping near Grandview Tower then another stellar return trip
Link to Map of Route on Hike Arizona
Mileage: ~15.5 miles each way
Elevation: 6613ft.
AEG: 1000 ft. (very flat)
We will drive up Friday night and camp in the dispersive area West of Tusayan(Long Jim Loop). I'll break away from the group to head out to Grandview and cache water. We will head out early Saturday Morning heading west on the AZT, camp somewhere near our water cache, return trip in the morning.
I highly recommend carpooling for this kind of a drive but it is never required. If you do carpool, work out sharing fuel expenses amicably.
A note about the difficulty of the hike. Honestly, if you backpack already there isn't any. It's high altitude but the overall flatness of the hike makes that a non-issue. If you struggle with altitude or distance, this isn't your trip.
It will be in the high 80's and UV will be peak. Dress appropriately. It is also during monsoon season so remember your raingear; cause you never know.
Any question leave them in the chat or contact me directly via Meetup message.
