Contact Improv Dance Experience

**NOTE: This offering beings Thursday August 7th.

This is an open contact improv dance experience. This is a safe environment where our community can explore moving and being in contact with one another. This is a guided practice where all cues are an invitation. You are welcome to move and explore in ways that make you feel safe. Partnering is welcome and is a part of the practice, however not mandatory. Demonstrations will be given for simple movements around safety, weight sharing and transitions, followed by an open jam.

Reminders

• Arrive on time. Doors close at 7:10pm.
• Bring water.
• Wear comfy clothes that you can move in and feel comfortable exploring floor in.
• Bring knee pads if you need them.
• No strong perfumes/scents
• This is a sober practice.
• Bring your curiosity and questions for exploration.
• No experience needed.
• Respect one another and the space: No romantic or sexual advances. Consent is required for physical contact.
• All are welcome.
