Lead Climbing Mentorship Day

This is a practice for new lead climbers or lead climbers wanting feedback and coaching in the art of leading.

All participants will be on the sharp end. This is NOT a top rope style event. The goal is to practice and improve lead climbing and lead belay skills.

There are 8 climber spots available (not including outing leaders) , This event is open to all current AMC club members. However you MUST have completed lead class or equivalent training (message Chris Adams if you have questions about this). Participants, who meet pre-requisites, will be selected on a first come first served basis.

This event is BYOG (bring your own gear) No gear will be provided by the club. Not all participants will have built a full “rack” and we’ll be sharing equipment as needed. Please expect to share gear for this event.

We’ll be climbing at shady grove which has a nice collection of moderate , mostly sport routes. Although there is one easier trad route to be climbed.

All members who RSVP will be first sent to the waitlist until membership status can be confirmed. Please answer the questions provided when signing up.

RSVPs open on Sunday July 27th at 0800 and close on Friday August 8th at 2000.
