Deep Water Soloing - Winslow AZ

TRIP DESCRIPTION: Let’s DWS!! Essentially bouldering over water, no pads required. In my opinion, this is the most fun outing that I lead annually.

TO ATTEND THIS EVENT:
You must be an AMC member (“paid-up” member) to attend. Bring your AMC membership card

Clear your schedule and put yourself on the “Waitlist”. We’ll check the rolls and put you on as attending.

Send your email address to Frank at climbrox@gmail.com so you can be included in information. If we don’t get an email address, we can’t make it work to put you on the trip.

When put on the “Going” list, you will be sent an email with info, and a Waiver to sign and get back to Frank. Frank will be doing the RSVPs for this event.

SIGNING UP AND THEN BAILING, COULD AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO GET ON FUTURE TRIPS.

Your outing leaders are volunteers. We don’t get paid.

NEEDED GEAR (Minimum):
This is a Bring your own Boat outing. Bring a rigid or inflatable kayak, canoe, or SUP. You can rent one from Hiking Shack if you don't own one. There may be some participants with one spot on their 2 person kayak, so ask if you need to mooch a spot on a boat.

Well behaved dogs with a life vest are welcome.

climbing shoes (preferably your old pair, that you don't care about getting wet), food & water for a full day.

Think about whether you need:
chalk bag, glasses strap, sun protection, hat/scarf, sunscreen, first-aid supplies, electrolytes, meds, small pocket knife, camera. Extra bag to pick up trash along the way.

MEET-UP LOCATION: We will arrange carpool from the Valley. We will meet up at Lake McHood Park near Winslow in the large parking lot by the bridge. Individuals can arrange transportation/carpool from the Valley. Help pay for gas.

Climbing is a team effort. Be looking for what you can do to help out.
