During this event Erik Filsinger will be giving an overview of the climbing opportunities in and around Banff and Jasper National Parks, Canada, one of the world’s premier climbing destinations.
Erik Filsinger will host a virtual outing via Zoom for this presentation. You will need to have or sign-up ahead of time for a free Zoom account of your own to participate. https://www.zoom.us/
Banff and Jasper National Parks and vicinities contain some of the world’s premier climbing destinations. Of special note are the long, many, many pitch trad climbs that attract rock climbers from all around the world.

The purpose of the virtual outing will be to give an overview of the nature of the climbing areas, their location, and their general approaches. While this information can be garnered from books or from friends, it is hard for a first-timer to gain that sense of where things are and what to look for. Hopefully this virtual outing will provide that preview so that you can maximize your climbing opportunities when you do visit.
