AMC Anchors School - Day 1

Do NOT RSVP to register for this AMC Anchors School! All RSVPs will be "waitlisted". AMC membership and a $150 class fee is required.

The AMC Anchors School runs over three sessions (one evening and a full weekend) to teach the fundamentals of building safe climbing anchors of every variety:
Thursday evening (Zoom) - Intro and Anchor Principles
Note - The Zoom link will be sent via email to registered participants
Saturday outside - Demonstration and practice of knots and anchors
Sunday on-the-rock - Practice designing & building real life anchors

The AMC Anchors School complements the AMC Outdoor Rock Climbing School to provide training in all the skills necessary to enable safe top rope rock climbing. You will receive a comprehensive manual and lecture topics combined with hands-on learning, including a Sunday on the rock setting real anchors in a variety of situations.
