Lead Climbing Mentorship Day

This is a practice for new lead climbers or lead climbers wanting feedback and coaching in the skill of leading.
All participants will be on the sharp end. This is NOT a top rope style event. The goal is to practice and improve lead climbing and lead belay skills.
There are 10 climber spots available (not including outing leaders) , This event is open to all current AMC club members. However you MUST have completed lead class or equivalent training (message Chris Adams if you have questions about this). Participants, who meet pre-requisites, will be selected on a first come first served basis. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO THE GRADUATES OF WINTER 2026 LEAD CLASS.
This event is BYOG (bring your own gear) No gear will be provided by the club. Not all participants will have built a full “rack” and we’ll be sharing equipment as needed. Please expect to share gear for this event.
We’ll be climbing at the spring wall in Christopher creek which has a nice collection of moderate to hard , mostly sport routes. .
