If you are single and would describe yourself as a secular humanist, an agnostic, atheist, freethinker, or a naturalist, etc, this group is for you.
Having shared belief systems does not guarantee a successful relationship, but it does help stack the deck. There are many faith-based singles groups, where members with shared values can meet; which I totally respect and support. But, I believe non-theist singles would benefit from having such a group, even more-so, as we are a minority. We generally don’t wear a symbol around our necks that allow us to recognize one another.
I propose a secular based singles group to give like-minded individuals the opportunity to socialize in fun events and activities. This is not a dating service, but a group to get to know one another in a no-pressure community setting, making acquaintances and friendships. If relationships form, that’s a bonus. Please be respectful of other members social/romantic boundaries.
