Join us for a classic South Mountain loop hike featuring stunning Sonoran Desert scenery and sweeping valley views. This route is ~6.3 miles with approximately 846 feet of elevation gain, making it a moderate hike with some rocky and uneven sections.

What to expect:
• Desert landscapes & great views
• Steady elevation gain (nothing wild, but you’ll feel it)
• Loop trail — no backtracking

What to wear/bring:
• Sturdy hiking shoes (trail runners or boots recommended)
• Comfortable, weather-appropriate layers
• Plenty of water (at least 2–3 liters per person)
• Snacks or light food for energy
• Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
🐾 Dog-friendly on leash.
📍 Meet at the Mormon Trailhead
We’ll start promptly at 3:00 PM, aiming to catch cooler temps and beautiful late-day light.
