(1) 10:30am-12pm Walk from Rosslyn Metro to Gravelly Point Park
Meet in the seating area by the McDonald’s outside the Rosslyn Metro stop. I’ll be there by 10:15am, and we will leave promptly at 10:30am. Walk along the Mt. Vernon Trail to Gravelly Point Park. Mostly flat, 3.4 miles at a leisurely pace, 1.5 hours.
(2) 12pm-6pm Picnic at Gravelly Point Park
Once I arrive and set-up, I’ll post coordinates of our location in the MeetUp comments section. The park is a unique spot to watch planes take off and land - it can get loud, so feel free to bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to sound. There are portable restrooms nearby. Come and go as you please. Eat, drink, socialize, lay down, read, play games, have fun (:
(3) 6pm-End Walk To Metro
2 options - walk to Crystal City Metro (1.3 miles, 30 minutes) or walk back to Rosslyn Metro (3.4 miles, 1.5 hours). I’m not sure which I’ll do yet, it depends on my energy level. But I’m happy to navigate folks home as best as I can.
