The day after the Swallowtail Festival sees the heroes of the goblin attack more or less go about their daily routine for those of you from Sandpoint, or meeting with your contacts if you are from out of town. At one point, Iomede heads to the temple to see about setting up a little place to worship Iomedae and talks to the head cleric. Father Zantus shows him around as he conducts his rounds to inspect any damage to the new temple. In the boneyards, the local cemetery, the crypt where the clerics and caretakers are interred is found open. Sending for Sheriff Hemlock and the other heroes of the attack, Zantus asks them to check things out as it should not have been disturbed. Upon entry, two skeletons attack, but are quickly destroyed. Looking around, it appears that the corpse of the previous head cleric, Father Tobyn, was removed. An investigation of the grounds reveals a small party of goblins and a medium sized humanoid gained entry over the low wall and stole the remains. Hemlock wonders if this may have been a reason for the attack, as a distraction. Zantus thanks everyone and the group goes the shops to sell what gear they got from the goblins. Along the way, those from out of town notice defaced carvings on a lot of buildings. On a closer look, small birds were carved and then later defaced. Asking a local, they were told of The Chopper, a local man named Stoot who carved birds and was later discovered to have been killing townsfolk and removing they eyes and tongue. He was discovered and chased back to his small isle just off of Sandpoint, where he had taken his own life. Horrified, the townspeople defaced every Stoot bird carving they could find. Back at the Rusty Dragon, they run into Aldern Foxglove, the noble they saved during the attack who invited them boar hunting in a couple of days.
