Computers are deterministic machines. They do the same thing every time, over and over. So how do computers generate random numbers? What does 'randomness" really even mean? In this talk we'll delve into random number generation, and even write one of our own. Beware, this can get a bit philosophical... Taken to its logical conclusion, we can even begin to doubt the nature of 'free will'.
