What we're about
Arlington Chess Club provides opportunities for youth and adults to play and learn about chess. We several meetups each week. Some for adults, some for kids, some for both. multiple meetings aimed at families and kids. Some things that happen regularly at our meetings include casual games, bughouse, blitz, help for beginners/novices, information about tournaments.

Any playing level is welcome at our casual weekly meetings. We require no formal membership process. Just walk in and play. We usually have several boards and pieces. Expect to see beginners and more-experienced tournament players attend every week. The Monday meetings are planned for adults, but some experienced, young players attend.
On the fourth Monday of the month we also have a Blitz tournament that is rated by the US Chess Federation - not everyone participates, so you can still come just to play casual chess.
There is no membership fee or form to fill out. Show up and play - and we'll call you a member of Arlington Chess Club.
