"Philosophy" Meetup- Philosophy of Friendship

Details
This is a meetup for non-serious people to discuss serious topics. This week, we’re getting into the philosophy of friendship.
What makes a good friend, and how do we know when we are one? Are good friends responsible for one another, and if so, in what way? How have friendships changed in the age of constant connectivity, and are we better or worse off for it? Can friendships be as meaningful as romantic relationships, or even more so? What does it take to sustain a friendship over decades, and is it always worth doing?
The structure remains loosey-goosey, so feel free to bring your own questions or topics to discuss.
Here’s an (entirely optional!) article from philosopher Mavis Biss on how friendships refine our moral character:

Looking forward to it!
