AI Orchestration with Semantic Kernel
Semantic Kernel is an open-source SDK that combines AI services such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Hugging Face, enabling developers to create AI apps by integrating them with their existing code. It supports Java, Python, and C# and offers connectors for adding memories and AI services to simulate the "brain" of the application. Additionally, AI plugins can be added as the "body" of the app. The SDK simplifies the integration of AI services, allowing developers to leverage recent AI advancements and build intelligent pipelines. This workshop focuses on how to use Semantic Kernel within your existing application and how to build and orchestrate AI applications.

Empowering your development with FP: Understanding and practice
There are a lot of talks about the newest tools libraries and frameworks but sometimes it is good to take a step back and think about the underlying problems they are trying to solve. In this talk we will go into the 4 fundamental aspects within software engineering; problem solving and managing state, errors and side effects. We will offer solutions and trade-offs (so no silver bullets) and you might learn some tricks for problem solving as well. This talk will contain a bit of theory, but we will mostly focus on the practical side so you can use the given solutions in your code-base tomorrow.

About Ties van de Ven
