The Weissenhof Estate was built in Stuttgart in 1927 by the Deutscher Werkbund as a central component of the exhibition "Die Wohnung" (July 23 to October 31, 1927). At the time, the Weissenhof Estate was considered avant-garde; today it represents a prominent example of early modernism and is regarded as one of the most important architectural housing estates of the modern era. It was regarded as the most influential models of emerging modern architecture in it's time.
