Maulbronn Monastery Complex (05.7.2026)

Maulbronn Monastery was founded in 1147 and is considered to be one of the most well preserved and intact monasteries north of the Alps.

Join us on Sunday 5th July 2026 for our Day Trip to the Maulbronn Monastery Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! This will be a half day trip since Maulbronn is only one hour away from Stuttgart. After exploring the Monastery Complex, we will stop for a coffee/ice-cream or snack and then head back to Stuttgart.

When: Sunday 5th July, 2026
Start Time: Meet at Stuttgart Hbf at 11:15 to take the 11:32 RE1 train
End Time: We leave Maulbronn around 15:00 and head back to Stuttgart
Where: Stuttgart Hbf

Agenda:

• Arrive between 11:00 - 11:15 at Stuttgart Hbf
• Take the RE1 train from Stuttgart at 11:32 to Mühlacker, then the Bus 700 from Mühlacker ZOB to Birkenhof, Maulbronn
• Explore the Maulbronn Monastery Complex (public part is FREE Entry) and if there is interest we can also go to the Maulbronn Museum (Entry Fee: EUR 10 per person)
• If there is time, we will stop for a coffee/ice-cream or snacks at a local cafe before heading back
• Take the 700 Bus from Birkenhof, Maulbronn at 15:32 and arrive back in Stuttgart by 16:30

• This is not a guided tour, this is simply a group of like-minded individuals joining for the day to experience a cultural site of natural beauty
• These events are absolutely free and non-profit, aimed uniquely at promoting general well-being and socialization; Any entrance fees charged is paid directly to the venue or site (not to the trip organizer)
• The cost of entry for this trip is approximately EUR 10-12 (please bring cash just in case the card machine is not working) at the Maulbronn Monastery Museum Registration Desk.
• Although doing their best to offer a safe and enjoyable experience, the organizers assume no liability for any incident that may occur, and participants are the solely responsible for their safety and well-being.
