🔥 What are the plans? Arsenal are taking on Brighton in this January Premier League clash! Meetup from 4:30pm for a few drinks & chat before the game kicks off @ 5:30pm!

📍 How to find us on the day? When entering The Black Lion, we usually sit on the big tables to the left of the bar where the big screens and pool table is. The venue is always first come, first served, so at times can become very busy. We will announce in the Whatsapp chat where we are sitting, especially for the newcomers.

📋 Event Guidelines

1. RSVP Updates: We get that sometimes you change your mind, something comes up...but please RSVP either yes or no to keep others up to date on if you will be attending.
2. Respectful Behaviour: If you arrive noticeably intoxicated, we may ask you to leave.
3. Friendly Vibes Only: This group is all about making lasting friendships and having a great time!

Remember, violations of these guidelines will result in removal from the group. Let’s keep things fun, respectful, and inclusive for everyone.

🤔 Why did I set this up? I have lived in Manchester since 2019 and struggled to find any likeminded friends. In 2022, decided that I would set up Manchester's first Arsenal group on the Meetup app and to my amazement, it just grew and grew...I literally only wanted someone to watch the game with!

😨 Feeling nervous about attending? No need to worry you're not alone! Over 50% of our attendees are first-timers and more than 90% come solo, so you're in great company. Just show up and before you know it, you'll feel right at home wondering why you were ever nervous in the first place!

Since starting the group, we have helped people connect and make lasting friendships...also helped those who aren't good in social settings leave the house to meet others...and also proud to have helped those dealing with mental health issues...at Gooners Society, we are a real family!
