Welcome to arts+alcohol!

We’re excited to have you here! Come and join us for one of our upcoming events. For those of you who have been members for a while already, I’m thrilled to announce that we are bringing new energy to this group in 2025.

Do you love the arts? Do you enjoy a good drink (also non-alcoholic)? Do you believe that the value of art is more about the people you share it with than the price tag? If your answer is “yes” (at least to the first two), then you’re in the right place. We’re all about enjoying the arts together - no matter in which shape or form. We love connecting with like-minded people and making new friends.

We organize regular events all around art and creativity. These range from museum visits, exhibitions and gallery openings to live music, festivals, art markets, performances and more… all affordable and easily accessible in and around Sydney. And of course, we’ll always be ready to follow it up with a drink and good company.

arts+alcohol! was originally founded by Jason in 2014 and he and others like: Ash, Doug, Ken, Nathan, Savanna, Leah, Heloise, Annalisa and more developed this group and ran events for years. (Big shout out to all that helped and supported!) Jason and I met up in early Jan to discuss the future of this group and I am now happy to share that I will be taking over and excited to revamp and carry on this group in its original purpose.

A bit about myself: my name is Janine and I have been a member of this group myself since 2015, when I arrived in Sydney. All my life I’ve been interested in art and performing. I love all things creative and artistic, but don’t consider myself an expert in this field at all and love learning and discovering new and well known art or artsy events. I also enjoy meeting new people and connecting over a drink and/or snack. So why not combine it all…
