There's an old story about a group of people touching different parts of an elephant in the dark. Each one is certain they know what it is. The one holding the trunk is sure it's a snake. The one at the leg knows it's a tree. They argue. They're all right. They're all wrong. Nobody thinks to ask each other. Sound familiar? The Elephant is a monthly salon for the conversations we're not having. The things we all see but don't name. The questions that are too big, too awkward, or too obvious to bring up at dinner. Not a lecture. Not a panel. Just a room and a question. We're not looking for answers. We're looking for honesty. To discover we're all holding different parts of the same elephant. Come curious. Come willing to be surprised.

ABOUT YOUR HOST Dara Morgana is an artist-facilitator, performance artist, and TEDx speaker newly based in Stockholm. Her work explores creative resilience: how we transform what's stuck into what's possible. Currently Artist in Residence at Emerge Lakefront, she designs experiences that help groups think together, get real, and find what emerges.
