What we’re about
STARTING MAY 6TH, 7TH AND 8TH!
Life can feel like too much—too fast, too loud, too demanding. This group is for people who give a lot, carry a lot, and rarely have a space just for themselves. You don’t have to be “an artist” or “in crisis” to join us. You just need a willingness to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.
Through simple art-making, guided self-awareness practices, and gentle conversation, we’ll create space for nervous system regulation, emotional release, and quiet clarity. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or just a little off-center, this is a place to land and breathe. No experience required—just come as you are.
WHAT DOES THIS LOOK LIKE?
Creating Calm After Chaos are process art workshops designed to help our local community process all the storms raging inside, whether from Hurricane Helene or any other life upset.
Workshops are 3 hours a week for four weeks. This workshop blends intuitive creative expression with gentle insights that help you regain your sense of self and move forward with confidence.
-Release fear and anxiety through creative expression
-Find clarity and new perspectives on what you’ve been through
-Build resilience and move forward with self-awareness and hope
-Connect with others who truly get what you’re going through
Each session meets you where you are, giving you permission to process everything in your own way. There’s no pressure to talk, no expectations to perform ‘recovery.’ Just a space where you can explore, release, and reconnect with yourself in ways that words often can’t reach.
No artistic experience is required—not even the ability to draw a stick figure. We provide all materials and guidance. This is about healing and releasing, not making perfect art.
This is a recurring monthly event that is by the community for the community. Thanks to our amazing funders and donors, we are able to offer this workshop for FREE! Please help spread the word. You never know what someone might be holding and this may be of great benefit.
Facilitated by Amy Huggins Lloyd, Certified Trauma Recovery Coach and Kate Stockman, local artist. Please reach out to me, Amy with any questions! I can best be reached at amy@ascensionwellnesslife.com.
